MALIN JOSEFSSON

SWEDENS NEW STAR FOR THE OLYMPICS 2020 TOKYO

Meet our next star for the olympics in Tokyo 2020,

Malin Miyuki Josefssson

MALIN

SWEDISH NATIONAL EVENTING TEAM

Swedish national team rider

European Championship 2017 and qualified to

World Championship 2018.

Before Malin´s main goal was to participate in the Olympics, she spent time educating herself to become a great equestrian. By the time she finished high school, she started working at Anna Nilsson (EC- and WC-rider). For two years, she worked and was educated at Anna Nilsson, until she went to Germany and got a job at Malin Pedersen (Olympic, EC- and WC-rider), where she spent more than a year. When that year had passed, glad news from Sweden reached her. Malin was accepted into the veterinary program in Uppsala, and without ending her ongoing journey, a new one begun.

"She went from Germany to Sweden with her stuff and a truck full of horses"

The trip ended in Uppsala, where she began full time studying on the side of focused training and competing with the horses. Malin proved her competitive mind and determined soul, as she delivered amazing results at shows and glanced through school at the same time.

With two years left of the veterinary program, Malin was chosen to be one of the participants of ATG’s program for talented riders. ATG´s program gives the students the opportunity to learn from the best riders, trainers, and athletes, and Malin developed herself as well as her horses.

In 2017, Malin became part of the Swedish national team, and the goal of participating in the Olympics 2020 is getting closer. In January 2018, Malin has reached the end of her studies, and a time of full-time eventing lies ahead of her. The veterinary skills will come in handy, and be a part of developing strong and healthy sport horses.
